In the face of devastating floods, in Assam, the need of the hour was volunteers and support to help the victims and the affected. Right from the first showers in April, the rain gradually picks up intensity and by the end of July floods the Brahmaputra valley. Year 2017’s floods however have been reportedly the worst in the last 3 decades.
Breached embankments, cries for help and country boats sailing on flood waters characterized the Valley. Large numbers of volunteers were pressed into action to help the district administration in evacuating the affected population to safe places...
